What buyers should specify
Rice RFQs should identify the required variety or grade, such as jasmine, white or parboiled rice, along with broken percentage, moisture expectations, crop year, polishing requirements and acceptable tolerances. Buyers should also state bag size, private-label needs, monthly or spot volume and destination port.
What suppliers should provide
Exporters can improve quote quality by describing milling capability, available grades, packing formats, loading capacity, inspection options, certificates available for the destination market and indicative Incoterms such as FOB or CIF.
Commercial checks
Trading parties should independently verify company identity, product specifications, certificates, inspection arrangements, payment terms and import requirements before contracting.
