Pearlized BOPP film at 31 microns and 1260 mm width, supplied for printed biscuit and cracker overwrap that must show a rich pearlescent surface along with good seal strength and scuff resistance. The structured pearl effect is achieved by layering a metallic-pigmented coating over a biaxially-oriented polypropylene substrate, giving a premium shimmer, low gloss variation and steady ink adhesion for high-speed rotogravure. The film runs flat on flow-wrap and vertical form-fill-seal machines, delivers dependable heat-seal initiation for cracker, cookie and wafer formats and retains its appearance through distribution.
