Soft-touch matte biaxially oriented polypropylene (BOPP) film, 16-micron gauge on a 1410 mm web, supplied for the printing, overlamination, and cover-making processes used on book jackets and hardcover dust wrappers. The treated matte surface gives ink a smooth, low-gloss take that prints cleanly in offset, digital, and web-to-sheet workflows, resists finger-marks and scuff, and delivers a premium look that reads as a high-quality jacket even when the cover is left uncoated or finished with a light lamination. At 16 microns the matte BOPP keeps the jacket thin and flexible so it slides over boards with a soft, hinged fit, resists creasing at the spine and panels, and still protects the printed cover from moisture, handling, and shelf wear without the stiff, plastic shell that thicker laminates can impart. The film runs flat through jacket makers and converting lines and cuts and die-cuts with a clean, burr-free edge. Supplied on 3-inch and 6-inch paper cores, wrapped and loaded on wooden pallets.
