BOPP Masking and Painting Tape 48 mm x 66 m Low Tack for Automotive Body Panel Edge Sealing
AEC GROUP exports a 48 mm x 66 m low-tack BOPP masking and painting tape engineered for automotive body-shop use, where clean removal and sharp edge protection are required after spot-priming, surfacing and final lacquer. The BOPP (biaxially oriented polypropylene) film backing is precision-slit, uniformly coated with a water-based acrylic adhesive tuned to a low-tack peel level so it bonds firmly enough to bridge edges and screw heads yet releases without adhesive transfer or paint lift on standard OEM refinish cure schedules. Coreless rolls are supplied on 76 mm plastic or 45 mm paper cores for direct mounting to standard dispensers and masking reels, and the backing is resistant to common thinners, wax-and-silicone removers and aqueous wash primers during the normal window between application and removal. Typical use covers panel edge masking, trim-line taping, headlight and grille protection, badge/screw masking and spot-guide masking for automotive refinish and custom paint. Roll format is also compatible with DIY touch-up and furniture painting where adhesive residue is a concern.
