Metallized PET film 12 mic by Anhui Eastern Communication Imp.& Exp. Co., Ltd. (AEC GROUP), Hefei, China. A vacuum-metallized biaxially oriented polyester (BOPET) base film that delivers the light-blocking barrier and metallic surface finish of aluminum foil at a fraction of the weight and cost. The aluminum-vapor-deposited layer provides excellent moisture and oxygen barrier, UV reflection, and puncture resistance, while the PET substrate retains its familiar strength, heat stability and re-processability for lamination, printing and converting. Typical thickness 12 mic (custom 9-15 mic by agreement); both sides available for corona, silicone, PE-AC or adhesive treatment. Widely used for aluminum-foil replacement in flexible packaging for snacks, tea, pharmaceuticals and electronics, plus reflective insulation, capacitor films and decorative metallized laminates. Surface energy treated for direct rotogravure ink adhesion; low coefficient of friction on request.
