How to Find Jet Fuel Suppliers: International Buyer Guide
A practical guide to Jet A-1 sourcing, specifications, supplier checks, aviation fuel handling, inspections and buying RFQs.
Aviation fuel procurement requires more than a quoted price. Buyers should identify the exact grade, governing specification, origin, certification and approved handling chain before agreeing to supply arrangements.
Specify the fuel and destination
State whether the requirement is Jet A-1 or another grade, governing specification and revision, requested volume, delivery airport or terminal, frequency and any destination-specific regulatory requirements. Do not treat different jet fuel grades as interchangeable.
Check the supplier's role
Determine whether the counterparty is a producer, marketer, terminal operator, into-plane provider or broker. Verify its legal registration, authorization, storage and delivery capability, and the named contracting and invoicing entities.
Review quality controls
Request appropriate certificates, traceability, batch information, inspection rights and documented handling processes consistent with the applicable aviation fuel standards and the receiving facility's requirements.
Plan the physical delivery
Clarify whether supply is at refinery, terminal, airport hydrant or into-plane point. Define transportation, storage, transfer, contamination control, custody and responsibility for losses and delays.
Compare contracts and payment
Compare specification, location, volume flexibility, quality rejection provisions, taxes, payment terms, insurance and dispute resolution—not only headline price. Independently check bank-beneficiary details.
Send a detailed RFQ
Include the grade, destination, quantity, delivery cadence, documentation, inspection and compliance requirements. Use marketplace profiles and RFQs to identify potential partners, not to replace safety or supplier qualification.
